＜Mechanism of lightning protection to prevent induced lightning entering from power lines＞
Induced lightning (1) entering from power lines travels through modular outlets and power outlets (2) to enter the broadband tap. Surge absorption elements (varistors and arresters) (3) built into the tap absorb the lightning surge, and the lightning surge is expelled outside via the earth (6).
＜Mechanism of the lightning guard to prevent lightning from entering from the atmosphere＞
Lightning (4) that enters from the atmosphere travels through the ground cable (5) connected to the ADSL modem, etc., and enters the broadband tap. The lightning surge is then expelled outside through the bypass circuit inside the tap and the ground cable (6).
＜How to connect＞
1. Make sure that your computer is turned OFF.
2. Insert the USB plug of this product into the USB port of your computer.
3. If you already have a USB device, connect it to the USB splitter socket of this product.
4. Plug the power plug of this product into the outlet.
5. With the power switch of the peripheral device turned ON, plug the power plug of the peripheral device into the socket of this product.
6. Make sure that the capacity of the connected device is 1500W (15A) or less.
＜How to operate＞
1. Turn ON the power of your computer. When the power tap is powered on, the power of the peripheral device will turn ON. If connected via a USB hub, the peripheral device will power on after the computer recognizes the USB hub.
2. Shut down the computer and turn off the power. The peripheral device will power off after a few seconds.
*This product cannot be used as a regular power strip.
*The outlet will not be powered unless a power signal is detected from the USB port.
*This product is designed for use with computers. It cannot be used for any other purpose.
